I started my modern bookkeeping business while working in corporate accounting. I was working for a very large company when I decided it wasn't working for me anymore so I decided to try something new.
I had never thought of owning my own business but one day I came across a podcast talking about how to start your own bookkeeping business and everything immediately clicked into place. I knew it was something I wanted to pursue.
Now I fill my time helping young entrepreneurs understand their business finances. I help them feel confident with their profits which allows them to make sound business decisions.

Experience
I graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. I then worked for 6 years in corporate accounting.
Efficiency
I prefer to use Xero over QuickBooks. I believe this allows for smoother bookkeeping practices.
Ease
I do as much as I can to make working with a bookkeeper as touchless and seamless as possible.

You may be wondering how I do it all alone...the truth is, I don't. While I don't have a team behind me I do have support. I could have gone into this thinking "I have an accounting degree, that's enough" but I didn't. Not only did I take an extensive course about bookkeeping so I feel 100% confident I'm not missing anything but I also joined a community.
The community is hosted by my mentor and is full of like-minded entrepreneurs with their own bookkeeping businesses. Together we come to solutions to any problem or question, no matter how complex or technical they may be.
